Creativity: Clearing Blocks to Find Your Flow
CREATIVE FLOW IN A CHAOTIC WORLD
The world is a non-stop circus—and we’re the entertainers. But when life takes over, responsibilities pile up, and the daily grind drains you. Waking before dawn, slugging back coffee, making breakfast, packing lunches, dropping the kids off, and endless meetings—creativity feels impossible. Who has time?
Does life have to suck us dry? Has the cyclical hamster wheel invaded our potential to create? Can we flip the script on “have to’s” and rediscover joy in creating? Life does not have to be a series of to-do’s. Yes, we have to survive, but how we do that is a choice.
Sparking a new idea and bringing it to life is rewarding—especially when it comes from your own imagination, inspiration, or intuition. It’s empowering.
FINDING INSPIRATION THROUGH SPIRITUAL CONNECTION
Are you ready to rediscover your creativity? Feeling stuck, lost in obligation, expectation, and guilt, but you’re desperately craving motivation? There’s always time—even a few moments—to connect within and find inspiration.
Put away all distractions, phones do have an off button. Sit outside, take a walk in nature, or get into a soothing space that speaks to you. Connect within. Silently ask: What inspires you? What do you love to do? Is there a hidden passion you’ve pushed aside?
In this moment, be the curious child again—drop the mental chatter. Feeling excitement signals to you it’s a solid yes. Submerged in dread or a clenched gut—it’s likely a no.
Is it the arts, music, writing, building a business, travelling, designing structures or spaces, helping others, solving critical problems—make a list of what speaks to you. Stay open—the sky’s the limit.
CLEARING AWAY CLUTTER TO MAKE SPACE FOR CREATIVITY
One easy way to spark inspiration is to clear the clutter! Stuff crammed everywhere makes your head spin, and when you’re stuck in your head, creativity stalls.
Look around your space—what’s happening? Papers piling up? Trash taking up unnecessary space?
First things first: Grab a garbage bag and toss the obvious—trash cans are your friend!
Are trinkets and tchotchkes dominating your shelves? Clean, donate, or rearrange your favorite accessories. Leave enough space for energy to breathe—too many items clog the ether, blocking your flow to the field of awareness.
Tidy up, open a window, play your favorite music, and notice how you feel.
IGNITING IMAGINATION BY DISCONNECTING FROM STIMULATION
Rediscover your imagination—it’s crucial! Remember creating wild stories as a kid? Tap into that youthful spirit and imagine who you want to be or what you want to do, even now.
Accessing your imagination is possible, but you must disconnect from the world’s noise. Turn off the influencers, reels, and voices telling you what to do—create a space where creativity can flow.
Try drawing, painting, or writing whatever you wish. This pulls you out of your mind and into your right brain—the seat of creativity and intuition—opening infinite possibilities.
Repeating your chosen creative outlet connects you to the intelligence field around you. Soon, you’ll start visualizing what you want or receiving intuitive images and messages.
MAKE CREATIVE TIME A REGULAR PRACTICE
Creativity isn’t lost in life’s circus—it’s waiting for you. Carve out time to connect: mark it on your calendar or set a phone reminder that says, “Creative Time!” Even 15 minutes is enough—just keep it consistent to reignite your spark.
Find joy in creating, right here, right now. Take a moment, disconnect from the clutter, detach from your mind, and let your creative spirit soar—your flow is closer than you think.
